Thin copper on 6061 aluminum enhances resonance with increased potential for sustain. Along with our custom Vintage Copper inlayed P90 pickup (fastened deep into an extended internal neck mounting block) the custom African Padouk neck enhances the sound and body with incredible depth, warmth of tone and appearance.

As an aluminum instrument the Classic Alloy is noticeably capable of a greater spectrum of harmonic frequencies (low and high) then its traditional wood predecessors. Due to the greater response of the 6061 alloy along with its preferred hollow (or custom semi hollow) body configuration, lower pitch notes project a fatter frequency along with incredibly pure sounding crystal clear resonance overtones. Mid to upper octave notes carry through with an excellent harmonic clarity and fullness that would be impossible to achieve with any other material.

This instrument is available in 2 copper finishes both with reliced nickel hardware and our Vintage Copper Clad Pickguard. The Naturally Tarnished body option is plated and polished copper in its earlier stages of natural oxidation. The Aged Copper body option is specially treated with a natural process to advance the effect of years of neglect in the elements. Both copper body options are not clear coated and will tarnish naturally over time and use. Other options for this instrument also include 4 different style neck pickups and 2 bridge pickups. The options of custom internal resonance chambers made from your choice of Aluminum, Ash, Mahogany or Basswood can also be included.
